    EWAN receives $10,000 grant from the DuPage Foundation

    Ex. Dir. Jackie Crnkovich and President Roy King were honored to represent EWAN at the Spring 2017 Grant Breakfast on June 14 hosted by the DuPage Foundation. There we received a grant check for $10,000! We are so grateful to the DuPage Foundation for recognizing the importance of our work through this gift. It will help us serve a lot of families in Elmhurst.

    On June 5, 2017 EWAN received $14,500 from "100+ Women Who Care"!

    On June 5, members of the 100+ Women Who Care Elmhurst stopped by the site to bring checks totaling $14,500! The 100+ Women voted to make the new EWAN dental assistance program this quarter's recipients of their philanthropy. This gift will bring a lot of happy smiles to EWAN clients!

       Volunteers, board members, supporters, and church staff all came out on April 28 for a reception at Wilder Mansion to see the new look for the Elmhurst Walk-In Assistance Network. Attendees enjoyed food and drink from Chow, piano music courtesy of Karen Becker.     Cookies for EWIM Angels

    As has been a long-standing custom at EWIM, volunteers and Board members baked an array of holiday cookies to share with area businesses and community partners to thank them for their support of the Walk-In Ministry  throughout the year.  A smaller group of volunteers then arranged the platters, wrapped, and delivered the cookies to these "EWIM Angels."  Twenty-five platters were delivered in all.

    Barbecue Fundraiser

    Board member Roy King cooked up a great fundraiser for EWIM in July. Roy and his sister Victoria, competitive barbecuers, invited family, friends, and EWIM volunteers to taste their delicious ribs and chicken in exchange for a free will donation at Firin' Up the Fox in West Chicago. Not to be outdone, their daughters made and sold duct tape wallets at the event. A matching gift from Roy and Jennifer meant over $1,500 were raised for the Walk-In Ministry.
